Realtors are working hard to help Thurston County grow
Oour region is developing rapidly. Industry reports show that in May 2021 house prices rose 21% compared to the same period last year and many residential properties sold in just five days. At the forefront of this exciting market are tireless real estate professionals, like the brokers at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Home Team. If you or someone you know is looking for a quick career, their sales team is growing in Thurston and Pierce counties.
Jessica Poulos wears many hats as a Realtor, Designated Broker and Co-Owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Home Team. She explains that this year they will be opening several new offices in Pierce and Thurston counties. Therefore, they are looking to double their team of 36 members. They hope to hire brokers who are not only licensed and in good standing with the state of Washington, but who have “experience in real estate or a real estate-related or sales-related field,” she explains. “We provide incredible training for our seasoned and new brokers. We want everything that comes out of our office to be top notch. We don’t just do customer service.
With a hot 2021 housing forecast, Poulos and his team maintain a simple driving goal. “It is the mission of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Northwest Home Team and its associates to serve clients by creating ‘wow’ experiences through all real estate interactions while providing the highest quality, innovative real estate services. and outstanding available anywhere in the South Sound area.
They provide this experience by supporting their staff, office team and agents in many ways. Management offers marketing support, peer mentoring, lead generation, education and training, leadership, coaching and accountability, brand awareness, administrative support, and customer data management tools . This maintains their core vision of “never settling, persisting in the meticulous delivery of unparalleled service and expectations, and no matter what, doing everything better than anyone else”.
Amanda Sampson was a broker at another firm for two years, where she completed a total of three transactions. She was alone and did not receive the help she needed. “After switching to BHGRE Northwest Home Team, my business increased by 600% in just 9 months,” she says. “I sold 17 houses! And not only that, the leadership and training was phenomenal, says Sampson. »
Poulos, along with her husband and co-owner Steve, started Northwest Home Team Realty in 2017 and merged with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in the spring of 2021. As a Designated Broker, Jessica’s responsibilities include reviewing contracts, forming employees and day operations. Steve is the head of their burgeoning new construction company and oversees the planning, marketing and construction of each home and neighborhood represented by the company. But, he explains, his “main goal is to build high-quality homes and develop beautiful, well-appointed neighborhoods to enhance the community.”
Whether selling new or established units, Steve and Jessica are always focused on helping others. They don’t see it as selling houses, but as serving families near and far. Even, perhaps especially, those of their team. From the Christmas Open House – complete with cookie decorating and visits from Santa – to their donations to the Thurston County Food Bank, participating in the communities they serve is always a joy.
Other office-wide realtor events include the ringing of the bell for the Salvation Army, a silent holiday wreath auction, a golf tournament, an organized service day where staff participates in community service projects and the annual fan-favorite softball tournament.
“It’s no coincidence that ‘Team’ is in the name of our company, because we truly operate as a team,” says Jessica. “Some would say we’re a really big family. The best part is that we actually love being with each other, and often we can spend time together, whether it’s in small groups or in groups. No matter the size from the gathering, you will always hear laughter and words of encouragement. We love celebrating birthdays, playing softball, bowling in Monte Carlo, organizing charity events and much more.
Such a warm and welcoming environment works wonders. “Working in a positive environment and having fun with your peers is essential for growth and success,” says Poulos. “Here, we strongly believe that creating and maintaining a positive culture leads to higher production. Our agents have positive attitudes and are always willing to work with their fellow agents and staff to help move our business forward. »
